Day Procedures
This involves blocking nerves in the lower neck to try to relieve upper limb pain for people with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). A ganglion is a cluster of nerve cells found in the peripheral nervous system. An injection of cortisone and local anaesthetic around the sympathetic nerves at the front of the neck can be helpful for some people with CRPS.
It is a day procedure in hospital, under sedation and x-ray guidance.
