Conditions & Diagnosis
One of the most common presentations to a spine surgeon is back pain and leg pain. There is a whole variety of problems that can give rise to these symptoms. Back pain in association with leg pain is usually due to a pinched nerve or nerves. The usual investigations for this are x-ray, CT scan, MRI scan and nuclear bone scan. Just which investigation is needed is determined by the symptoms and examination.
