Dr Moloney sees patients in the hospital regularly after their surgery until they go home. A follow up appointment in his office is then made 6 weeks following surgery. It is essential in this post-operative period that Dr Moloney is able to monitor the patient for risk of infections, pain at the incision site, lack of fusion and neurological complications. It is vital that patients communicate clearly with Dr Moloney regarding their experiences during recovery. Any questions can be directed to the staff who will speak with Dr Moloney and get back to the patient regarding any concerns.
The following flow chart outlines the typical journey that patients take after surgery. While every journey is different it is important to understand common trends and know what to expect from each stage of the process.
