Spinal Treatments - Procedures

Procedures

Dr Moloney ensures that patients have options and play a role in making an informed decision with additional support from their GP.

1. Conservative Management

This includes anti-inflammatory agents, hydrotherapy, osteopathy, physiotherapy and chiropractic. These very often can solve the problem without the need for surgical intervention.

2. Injection Therapy

Typically, a steroid medication is injected to deliver a powerful anti-inflammatory solution directly to the area that is the source of pain. Depending on the type of injection, some forms of low back pain relief may be long lasting and some may be only temporary.

3. Spinal Surgery

A range of surgical options is listed in the video library below. Please be guided by Dr Moloney about which of the videos are appropriate to your condition.

The following procedures are divided into surgical and non-surgical.
